word justifies the whole doc instead of a single paragraph
Posted on Jan 08, 2009 under xn--zqqs84h3is.com | edit1. I find Word doing and irritating thing often (not always though I believe!). When I want to justify a paragraph and I set the cursor somewhere in the middle of the text, press ctrl+j - it applies the justify formattin in the whole document, all styles, all paragraphs. I need to press ctrl+z to undo the autoformatting and have only a single paragraph justified... The same thing about other format options (like formatting fonts).
I cleared autoformat options (all the boxes are unchecked) but the problem appears at times still - when I have to do with tables. I want formatting applied to one cell and it applies to the whole table...
2. The other issue is converting files from .pdf format into .doc - is there a smart way to set this conversion so that Word does not create a bunch of new styles for the converted document?...
If the subject have been discussed here, please, point me there, I will appreciate :)
Best to all,

As for 2. I am using Adobe Acrobat CE Standard, and I cannot see "Batch" in "File". But if you mean converting to .rtf than I can do by Save As (just like with .doc format). In .rtf file it creates also those new style that I don't need (CM1 thru CM99!!!). If there was a workaround that would be nice...
Best!
2. What are you using to convert it? If you have Adobe Acrobat (not just the Reader) you can File-->Batch convert to RTF and pick a folder with your pdf in it.
