Why do men cheat? Why do women put up with now more than they did years ago?

  • Men cheat because they feel like they aren't getting enough attention from their wifes/girlfriends. They also might feel like their not being loved, not getting enough attention, or being neglected.

    Believe it or not, men are just as sensitive as women.

    Men need assurance from their mates that they are OK & doing stuff right. If they don't get that & don't feel significant, then they might go find someone else who WILL make them feel significant.


  • Men are annoying and stupid. I'm not sure what makes women put up with it but I can think of the obvious reasons - they still get affection from the man, they want to be forgiving, they don't want to go through divorce.

    I don't know if they're putting up with it more or less than before, but I strongly suggest less.

  • men cheat bcoz they are dogs, they dont know what to do with their ding dongs... women put up with it coz they dont wanna be alone and they know that if they leave that piece of ****, then its a long while or sometimes never that they get another man in their lives and then they feel that it was better where they were.. get what am sayin ;)

  • I dont think they put up with it more, I think they put up with it less, since divorce is always an opton nowadays, and contemporary thinking allows us to be free in our dating choices.

    i think todays society is different to years ago.
    People settle down alot older and some not at all.

    I dont think women put up with it, i certainly wouldnt!
    its finding the right man, as if he is not happy he will cheat but its the same for a woman.


  • There's no specific answer to that, I vowed to never cheat on my wife but when she stopped giving me emotional support and she started neglecting my physical needs as well, I thought about cheating. Most men who love their wife or girlfriend don't cheat for the hell of it, most of the time they're being neglected at home.

  • Men cheat on their wives for many different reasons. Below is a list Iā ™ve come up with that will help explain, to some extent why men cheat.

    * They are addicted to sex.

    * Low self-esteem and the need of attention from other women.

    * Some men cheat for the sake of cheating. It is a game to them and one they figure they might as well play as long as they can get away with it.

    * Some men need to feel that ā œin loveā  feeling. Once the marriage becomes comfortable they go looking for the excitement of new love and lust.

    * They grew up watching their fathers cheat and have an ingrained belief that cheating is just something men do.

    * They cheat when their marriages are in trouble. If they arenā ™t getting what they want and need from their wife they find someone to take over her role. It is so much easier than dealing with the problems in their marriages.

    * Some men cheat to punish their wives. What better way to hurt someone who has hurt you than to replace them intimately?

    * Believe it or not, some men cheat accidentally. They donā ™t go out looking for an affair but get caught up in the moment and before they know it they are in over their heads


  • I don't know! I really don't get it. My fiance knows that I am nosy and if I get suspicious about anything he better let me know whats up or I'll leave him. I don't put up with that BS! I don't play games so either be honest with me or I will refuse to be with you. :)


  • They cheat because they are not happy with the one they are with. They would not cheat if they cared about the one they are with. No one would cross the line of losing someone they really cared about.

    Women putting up with more than they did years ago? I think that only applies to you. Most women are pretty strong and know the moment a man cheats. You better open your eyes!


  • Statistics show that women cheat just as much as men and some even show that women cheat more than men. Cheating is a function of opportunity, culture, genetics and upbringing.

    Some cultures cultivate promiscuity more than others and good looking people (men & women) get more opportunities to cheat. Males in most species are predisposed to seek sex from many partners and if people are raised to be promiscuous they will.


  • Some guys just can't keep their dick in there pants, they have no self control. I know a few. Some Guys just get drunk and don't care and pretend like nothing happens when they go back to the wife. Men probably cheat b/c they like the high of excitement of doing something they aren't suppose to be doing.


  • Men and women cheat because there was something lacking in their present relationship, so they go outside for it. Cheating comes from lack of Communication in the relationship and drastic measures were taken when the situation got out of hand.
