  • I'm pretty sure that pic is of a Tea Cup Terrier. That's the kind I'd love to get. So cute.

    Most of the Tea Cups stay very tiny. Chihuahuas also can be small. Just Google small dogs or Tea Cup dogs.

  • I have a Yorkshire Terrier like the one in the picture. She kinda looked like that when we got her. She was only 3lbs when we first got her and now she is about 5lbs. She is still adorable and she always will be even when shes not a puppy.

    All puppies grow up. It just depends on what size they grow up to.
    You should never choose a dog you are going to have for 10 - 18 years by what it looks like as a puppy for a couple of months.

    There are 'teacup' Poodles, Yorkies, Shitzus, and many other breeds that are bred to stay small.
    Unfortunately, they are not bred for health. A good breeder will not be breeding or promoting these dogs.

    Cavalier king charles spaniels keep the puppy look, as will a shitzu, if you keep it's hair in a fluffy scissor cut.

  • All puppies "grow up", what you're looking for is a toy dog. They stay small all of their lives. That dog is a Yorkie, or a Yorkshire Terrier. You might also like Silky Terriers, or maybe any other toy dog, like a Bijon Frise. I personally like Westies.


  • What do you mean, do not grow up? My dog has gotten very large in that 4 months that I have had hom, but he still acts like he is a tiny puppy and thinks he is a tiny puppy (he gets stuck in places he used to fit into). So in that sense, he has not grown up, but he has gained a lot of weight and gotten a lot taller. He is a boxer.

    The only puppy that doesn't grow up is a stuffed toy. VERY easy maintenance, no spaying/neutering required, or shots, or training, etc.
