  • I love strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. Try strawberry pie!

  • I love everything with 'berry' in it and peaches also

My favorite dessert is strawberry shortcake

  • Apples, or fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blackberries, raseberries)

  • depends on the time of the year...

Right now strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and cherries are wonderful. I'd always recommend going with the fruit that is in season.

A simple and easy dessert is angel food cake with fresh berries and whipped cream.

  • I love apples. I also love apple pie.

I also love coconuts. My father makes a heavenly dessert called "tembleque de coco" with coconuts. My sister makes a punch with coconut milk and rum called "coquito". It is a typical drink in Christmas in PR, like the eggnog Americans have, but with a tropical twist.
(I live in the tropics and we have palm trees in our backyard)
We also have guava trees and with the fruit we make "casquitos de guayaba" MMMMM!!

  • A really wonderful dessert is raspberries soaked in Grand Marnier served on angel food cake and topped with orange flavored whipped cream with a little orange zest for garni.

  • stawberries and cherries

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ ------------------------------...
    2 tbsps yeast
    1/3 c water -- warmed
    1 1/2 c skim milk -- at room temperature
    1/3 c oil -- at room temperature
    1/4 c granulated sugar
    2 tsps salt
    2 tsps nutmeg
    2 egg whites -- whipped
    4 1/2 c unbleached flour
    1/2 c egg white
    1 c sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven at 450 after first and second rise. To proof yeast, mix 1/4 cup
warm (115) water with 1/2 teaspoon honey; stir and set aside until foamy. In
mixing bowl, combine proofed yeast, milk, oil, 1/4 cup sugar, nutmeg, egg
whites, and 2 cups flour. Beat briskly until well blended. Add remaining 2 1/2
cups flour and beat until smooth. Cover the bowl and let double in size, about
1 hour. Dust a board generously with flour and turn the dough mass onto it.
This dough is soft and needs enough flour on the board to prevent sticking, but
is easy to handle. Pat the dough into a round about 1/2" thick. Use a
3" doughnut cutter and cut out the doughnuts, placing them (and the
doughnut holes) on prepared baking pans, 1" apart. These don't spread
much; they rise. Let the doughnuts rest and rise 20 minutes, uncovered. Bake
about 10 minutes, or a little longer, until they have a touch of golden brown.
Remove from the oven. On a sheet of wax paper spread cinnamon sugar. !
    Brush
each doughnut and doughnut hole with egg white and roll in the cinnamon sugar.

    Ingredients:
    2 packages Dry yeast
    1/3 cup Warm water
    1 1/2 cup Milk
    1/3 cup Vegetable shortening
    1/4 cup Sugar
    2 teaspoons Salt
    2 teaspoons Nutmeg
    2 Eggs, lightly beaten
    4 1/2 cups Flour
    1/2 cup Melted butter
    1 cup Sugar
    mixed with
    1 teaspoon cinamon

    Directions:

Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water in a small bowl and let it dissolve for 5 minutes. Put the milk and shortening in a saucepan and heat until the shortening is melted. Cool to lukewarm.

Pour the yeast mixture into a large mixing bowl and add the milk mix. Stif in the 1/4 cup sugar, salt, nutmeg, eggs and 2 cups flour. Beat briskly until well blended. Add the remaining 2 1/2 cups flour and beat until smooth. Cover the bowl and let double in bulk, about 1 hour.

Dust a board generously with flour and turn the dough mass onto it. This dough is soft and needs enough flour on the board to prevent sticking, but is easy to handle. Pat the dough into a round about 1/2 inch thick. Use a 3 inch doughnut cutter and cut out the doughnuts, placing them (and the doughnut holes) on greased baking sheets, 1 inch apart. These don't spread much; they rise. Preheat oven to 450F. Let the doughnuts rest and rise for 20 minutes uncovered. Bake about 10 minutes or a little longer, until they have a touch of golden brown. Remove from the oven. Have ready the melted butter and a brush. On a sheet of wax paper, spread the cinnamon sugar. Brush each doughnut and doughnut hole with butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar.
