Tristan and Isolde, Isolde's Blue Dress?

  • I just wanted to know if anyone could confirm that a person at the National Museum of Ireland told me about the dress worn in the Tristan and Isolde Film. They told me that, that blue dress was historically accurate to the time period in Ireland. Is this correct and is this what the women wore in Ancient Ireland, is this true?

  • Yes that is true, but it's about the only thing that is i'm afraid - for instance they had both crossbows and padlocks in the movie when the event took place in the Dark Ages around the time of King Arthur
