Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks Perpetuating Stereotypes

  • Just when we thought we had overcome all the narrow-mindedness in this country, Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks had to churn out a “Finding Nemo” imitation called “SharkTale” that is packed with negative stereotypes of Italian-Americans, African-Americans, and Hispanic-Americans. In a country as divided as ours is today, we don’t need media moguls such as Steven Spielberg filling our kids’ heads with racial and ethnic stereotypes. Even the most respected film critics have criticized this movie because of its stereotyping. Someone sent me this link and I think it sums up everything I have said very well: www.boycottsharktale.com. For our kids sake, take some action and tell Hollywood that we won’t stand for it.
