Split end scareeees :( ?

  • ok, so your hair grows from your roots.

    if you have split ends CUT THEM OFF otherwise, they grow and so all of your hair is split ends, so all of your hair will be dead, SO YOUR HAIR WON'T GROW!

    trust me, i'm an expert, and its happend to me.

    Is this true because im really worried
    im 14 and i am a boy i just recently had fairly long hair not really long tho, and i had split ends , i had it cut really short but now i can see loads of split ends im really worried i dont wanna go bald. I think my split ends have reached the shaft id ont want the hair to come out and my hair to never grow again :'( i just had it trimmed today
    The hairdresser said i havent got any because she said it was only ppl with long hair that they get split ends :'( but i know i have its very clear! please help :(


  • Split ends? I guess you dont really have to get worried. Honey does the trick. Just rub some pure honey on your palms and coat the ends. Do this everyday before going to bed. Also, you should put on some olive oil onto your scalp. This will help in hair loss. Plus, it promotes healthy growth of hair. Good luck! Hope this will be your answered prayer.

  • It's probably just...frizz? Or the way they cut it. I dunno I don't think you have split ends if you just got a whole bunch cut off then trimmed.. Honey, if you saw my hair you would have nightmares for years...
    My whole head consists of split ends. No money right now for hair cut.


  • Well, there is split end lotion that you put in your hair and leave it in. But that is mostly before you get split ends to prevent it from happening. I have major split ends, and I have really long hair.
    Hold up the ends of your hair with your fingers. Does your hair come apart at the ends, and if it doesn't, does it look non-intentional? (spelling?)
    If it does, and you firmly believe you have split ends, then the only thing to do is ask somebody (preferably a hairdresser) you trim them off.

    if you cut them off, it just makes your hair healthier.
    Your not going to go bald, wait till your at least 50. (:
    and your hair is already dead, its dead when it first comes out from the roots.

  • Not sure what they meant by grow....But When you have split ends, The split will go up the strand, resulting breakage, making your hair NOT grow. If the hairstylist, says you don't..Then you don't(Their quite easy to notice.)Plus, If you just had your hair cut short, The most likely...You don't..If your still scared about having split ends, Shave your head.


  • First don't panic :) . If you feel your hair has split ends, then I would really suggest some consistent ant deep conditioning treatments. You can get these from drugstores at great prices. Remember for now to stay away from alcohol based hair products - as they frequently dry out the hair. You may want to be sure that you aren't scrubbing your hair too vigorously, using a brush on wet hair, or towel drying roughly. If you use a hairdryer, cool the setting down a bit so there's not too much heat. Always protect your hair by wearing a ball cap, if you are going to be outside in the elements for a sustained period of time. You also need to make sure you are eating the right healthy foods and that you are getting enough water...both can really make an impact on the quality of your hair. Best wishes.
