  • Hi mamphisnate1-ga, Just so we all know what we're talking about … " Altitude is the angle up from the horizon. Zero degrees altitude means exactly on your local horizon, and 90 degrees is "straight up". Hence, "directly underfoot" is -90 degrees altitude. Azimuth is the angle along the horizon, with zero degrees corresponding to North, and increasing in a clockwise fashion. Thus, 90 degrees is East, 180 degrees is South, and 270 degrees is West. Using these two angles, one can describe the apparent position of an object (such as the Sun at a given time)" US NAVY Sun or Moon Altitude/Azimuth Table for One Day http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/AltAz.html To find the MOON's altitude and azimuth for Austin Texas for the dates and times you want, do this … Go here: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/AltAz.html Use FORM A Select MOON Type in the DATE Select TEXAS Type in AUSTIN Click COMPUTE TABLE EXAMPLE -- You should get the following for June 18, 2003 --- AUSTIN, TEXAS W 97 44, N30 17 Altitude and Azimuth of the Moon Jun 18, 2003 Central Standard Time Altitude Azimuth Fraction (E of N) Illuminated h m o o 00:00 10.4 122.2 0.82 00:10 12.1 123.6 0.82 00:20 13.9 125.1 0.82 00:30 15.6 126.6 0.82 00:40 17.2 128.2 0.82 00:50 18.9 129.9 0.82 01:00 20.5 131.6 0.82 01:10 22.0 133.4 0.82 01:20 23.6 135.2 0.82 01:30 25.0 137.1 0.81 01:40 26.5 139.1 0.81 01:50 27.8 141.1 0.81 02:00 29.1 143.2 0.81 02:10 30.4 145.4 0.81 02:20 31.6 147.7 0.81 02:30 32.7 150.1 0.81 02:40 33.7 152.5 0.81 02:50 34.7 155.0 0.81 03:00 35.5 157.6 0.81 03:10 36.3 160.2 0.81 03:20 37.0 163.0 0.81 03:30 37.6 165.7 0.81 03:40 38.1 168.6 0.81 03:50 38.5 171.4 0.81 04:00 38.8 174.3 0.81 04:10 39.0 177.3 0.81 04:20 39.0 180.2 0.80 04:30 39.0 183.2 0.80 04:40 38.9 186.1 0.80 04:50 38.6 189.0 0.80 05:00 38.3 191.9 0.80 05:10 37.8 194.8 0.80 05:20 37.2 197.6 0.80 05:30 36.6 200.3 0.80 05:40 35.8 203.0 0.80 05:50 35.0 205.6 0.80 06:00 34.1 208.2 0.80 06:10 33.1 210.7 0.80 06:20 32.0 213.1 0.80 06:30 30.8 215.4 0.80 06:40 29.6 217.6 0.80 06:50 28.3 219.8 0.80 07:00 27.0 221.9 0.79 07:10 25.6 223.9 0.79 07:20 24.1 225.9 0.79 07:30 22.6 227.7 0.79 07:40 21.0 229.5 0.79 07:50 19.5 231.3 0.79 08:00 17.8 233.0 0.79 08:10 16.2 234.6 0.79 08:20 14.5 236.2 0.79 08:30 12.7 237.7 0.79 08:40 11.0 239.2 0.79 08:50 9.2 240.7 0.79 09:00 7.4 242.1 0.79 09:10 5.6 243.4 0.79 09:20 3.8 244.8 0.79 09:30 2.0 246.1 0.79 09:40 0.3 247.3 0.79 09:50 -2.1 248.6 0.78 10:00 -4.0 249.8 0.78 10:10 -6.0 251.0 0.78 10:20 -8.0 252.2 0.78 10:30 -9.9 253.3 0.78 10:40 -11.9 254.5 0.78 22:50 -10.6 103.6 0.74 23:00 -8.5 104.8 0.74 23:10 -6.5 105.9 0.73 23:20 -4.5 107.0 0.73 23:30 -2.5 108.2 0.73 23:40 0.1 109.4 0.73 23:50 1.8 110.6 0.73 That should do it!
