Minnesota/Wisconsin Peeps
Posted on Jan 08, 2009 under xn--zqqs84h3is.com | editYes, this will be my first time up there! I can't wait to see that part of the country AND get away from the 98 degree temps (105 heat index)here!!
well...maybe i'll have to throw George and Condie in the car and head down there........... Ohhhhhh no! Tito says he'll be embarrassed and feel like an unpedigreed southern redneck if seen around George and Condie! :Ohno: :HAHAHA: I told him to suck it up, he has a super pedigree and is the BEST BT speciman his mom has ever seen (LOL)...so yes, yall load up and come out for a visit!
Ohhhhhhhh, no thanks. I don't typically have the patience of 100 Zen Masters when it comes to extremely crowded place with loads of unruly screaming kids, LOL! We have a huge Livestock show and Rodeo here in Houston every year that I avoid like the plague! :greensmil :urplecuz6
I do want to take my daughter to the Mall of Americas to ride the indoor rollercoasters and such. Is there anything else close around that would be interesting/different/fun for her? (she's 9)
bodyworks is still there..
That's cool - but promise me you will visit more parts of Minnesota than just Hastings - cuz that place is kind of - boring. It is an outer suburb - so not much to do - but it does have a pretty cool old time looking "downtown" area.
Minneapolis and St. Paul are much funner and there is a ton to do. Minnesotans usually have a strong preference for one or the other - I prefer Minneapolis (it really IS better). A good place to look for current events is in the City Pages (http://www.citypages.com/).
If you have the patience of a Zen master - you could check out the Mall of America. That place usually makes me almost go postal - but I think that is mainly cuz I used to work there. It's worth checking out at least. There is even a lightrail from downtown Mpls straight to the mall. Fun times!
There are several pet friendly hotels in Minneapolis as well. I know for a fact that the Millenium Hotel on Nicollet Mall (which isn't a Mall - it is a Street) is pet friendly - but kinda ritzy. Have fun!
Are both of the Zoos still open? I haven't gone to either one in AGES.
Anyway - I guess Kelly wins here - cuz the Zoo is in St. Paul. :nunu:
Ahem - also in St. Paul - the Science Museum's Omni Theatre is pretty cool - as is the museum itself. I know that the "Bodyworks" thing was there a while ago - not sure if it still is. But, it is supposedly really cool.
Welll....Tito will be there and he's not entered!LOL :boston te
