Tornado History Project adds 2006 tornadoes
Posted on Jan 08, 2009 under xn--zqqs84h3is.com | editI have finally completed adding 2006 tornadoes to the Tornado History Project (http://www.tornadohistoryproject.com) database. It took longer than I thought and I made a few other changes (see blog for more info), but its ready to go. Hope you enjoy it!

P.S. I was particularly eager to see this search for May 31, 2006 in Illinois (http://www.tornadohistoryproject.com/tornadomap.php?yr=2006&mo=5&day=31&st=Illinois&fu=%25&co=Any&l=100&submit=Search&format=basic&p=1&s=1) on the map. Not that any one tornado in the group was impressive, but 7 tornadoes touched down in a ring all around me (all within 7 or 8 miles) while I, completely oblivious to the whole thing, sat in my living room in Pesotum :(. My Dad watched 2 of them on the ground simultaneously, but forgot to call me. One junior high kid saw 3 on the ground at the same time and took some video, but I haven't been able to find it yet.
