Any SEs receive tragetted promotions yet?

Get ready to be disappointed then. You can't expect and rely on a targetted promotion to qualify for your status year after year.
I can tell you as a fact that the chances of being given a targetted promotion when you've gotten one last year is extremely slim. The selection criteria for such promotion do include previous years' activity and travel patterns. AC recognizes that fact that you might travel less for any given year for various reasons which is why they use targetted promotion to 'help you out'. So you can't expect to get such promotion every year.
Empress, does AC use a program with pre set algorithms to select atrgets? Presumably, algorithms would be modified to reflect overall conditions (economy, strokes etc.).
So if you want to requalify for SE, you better plan to fly the true 100K Q miles. You don't want to be relying on such promotion and then find yourself short of 100K when Dec comes around.
If you don't have 8K by the end of January, 16K by the end of February, 24K by the end of March, etc, then you need to take decisive action then. Waiting until December, or even Labour Day, is a huge mistake just waiting to happen.
