How much did car makers spend on advertising (any media) in the U.S.
in 2003 or 2004?
Perfect what I was looking for. It did not include the year but

this figure will do just fine.

Rernst,
Does this figure meet your needs?
?The auto industry spends more than $11 billion a year on advertising,
and $1.8 billion of that is placed in newspapers.?
